Help Wanted: An Outstanding Practice Administrator
Andres Carnegie stated that “the success of any organization lies in the hands of its administrators.” Nothing could be truer for medical practice administrators. A good practice administrator can ensure that the practice operates smoothly and efficiently. An outstanding practice administrator can help the practice fulfill their mission, vision, and strategic goals and ensure that the operations run effectively and efficiently.
Whether your practice is in a start-up phase or has outgrown its current administrator’s capabilities, Health e Practices can assist you.
We begin with our Clinic Leadership Inventory tool that helps us learn what tasks are delegated to the lead physician, current administrative staff, and outside vendors (i.e., accountants, attorneys, etc.). From there, we develop a comprehensive job description that outlines what tasks and expectations you have for your new practice administrator.
Our recruiting specialist will then work with the physician leader(s) to find a candidate that fits the culture of the practice, as well as the operational needs of the practice.
For small group practices, it’s not uncommon for the practice to hire an “up and coming” practice administrator. For the less seasoned practice administrators, we can provide 1:1 mentoring and/or group training sessions (i.e., Revenue Cycle Leadership Courses).
